Free video for new Mac users
The excellent ScreenCastsOnline (to which I subscribe) is this week offering a hefty (that is, substantial) video podcast covering a lot of ground that would be very useful for new Mac users, whether they be recent switchers or folks who just haven't had a chance to dig around in all that the Mac offers as yet.

Compatible with Snow Leopard?
It looks like this wikidot page (as of today, anyway) that was referenced in this earlier post is down down dead. However, a bit of Googling turned up this Boston College page with a list of programs that work in OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard".

I just got my copy of Snow Leopard and haven't installed it yet -- there's a regimen of saving off old project files and cleanup first -- but I was very interested when one of our list members pointed out this article (thanks, E!)
Big change. Here's what: I create a file. Save it. Later I open it. Maybe it doesn't open in the same program I used to create it. Chaos and confusion ensues.

In my beta testing of Mac OS X Snow Leopard, I had no issues with Creative Suite 3. But just to be sure, I installed the suite on a fresh copy of Snow Leopard today and ran a variety of tasks in the main CS3 apps just to be sure.
