local
Mac, photography classes in Boise, Nampa area
Our own Mark Winchester, who's presented on various topics several times for our group over the years, has mentioned that he has some upcoming classes - some focus on learning the Mac system and others are on digital photography. Here's the info:
Which digital camera for me?
This class will help you match your interests and priorities with a camera that will serve them. I’ll help you understand the geek speak that often is confusing, and focus on the details that matter.
It's time to FALL into a new meeting time
We're changing our meeting location and time. Your BoiseMacs web site has been updated to reflect the changes. Read all about it on the meeting page!
See you there: on the second Wednesday, at Fuddruckers!
Boise area Apple store in the future?
Thanks, Rik, for the post to our list. Looks like someone has sifted through and compiled a short list of significant points from the 2008 Apple shareholder meeting and one item of interest is that "Apple is looking at Idaho, Wyoming, and other more sparsely populated states to identify suitable locations for Apple Stores."
Looking for member, friend input on new meeting place
As you've noticed (looking at the home page and the meeting page on the site), BoiseMacs is looking for a new meeting place in the wake of the CompUSA shakeup.
If you have any suggestions, please contact the officers, or post a message to the list.
We would like to have all suggestions by Friday, January 11th, so that a decision can be made.
Thanks!
Co-presidency changes
With sadness we say good-bye to co-president Tommy, who delighted us with numerous presentations. (I remember one in particular where he actually let us all play with his new iPhone!)
And we welcome our newest co-president, John-Erik, who is also our local Apple employee representative.
Best wishes, Tommy, and a big round of applause to John-Erik.
