February is at the Library!

Our February meeting will again be at the Boise Public Library! and again on Tuesday (due to the holiday). Last month was a really nice experience with us all being able to sit around a big table and talk. It was sort of one big question and answer session. We should have an overhead available though we've heard to the contrary so checking that out.

Macworld 2008

Of course, next month (February), I'm sure one of our Presidents (Rik) will give a good recap of what he saw in his sojourn to Macworld 2008, but in the meantime, get yourself the (free) ScreencastsOnline 5 minute overview [links to podcast in iTunes]. (What the heck was that Napping Lounge..?)

    The January 2008 meeting will be in a new spot, at the Library! on Capitol Blvd. in Boise. There's a map on our meetings page. Topics TBD.
    UPDATE:
    The meeting will be on Tuesday (22nd). Our local Apple rep, John-Erik, will helm the meeting.

    Leopard Launch Party!

    There is a disturbance in the Mac universe...rumblings of a new version of the Mac operating system...this new cat is called Leopard. Leopard officially goes on sale at 6:00 pm this Friday, and the Boise Macintosh Computer Club is celebrating with a Launch Party! We are informally meeting at CompUSA between 6:00 and 7:30 to check out and maybe even buy Apple's newest cat. Usually CompUSA has some additional specials for a Mac OS launch, but they are yet to be announced...John-Erik will fill us in on some specials on the mailing list when they are finalized.
