Smooth September Social

Our meeting last night was the first in our new series wherein odd-numbered months are an unstructured meeting and even-numbered months have a defined topic and presenter. We started with a 'round the room introduction of ourselves, telling a bit about what we use our Macs for, or how we got started with Macs. An impromptu demo of Garage Band got several of us quite interested in exploring more. It was a great casual meeting -- alternating between someone taking the helm at Rik's laptop (which was connected to the projector) and groups of two or three trading tips and stories amongst themselves. We touched on some Intro to Mac things like exploring the "Get Info" panel and shared current long-term projects such as putting hundreds of photos into an iMovie for a family tribute. Good meeting, and the root beer float was quite tasty.
